Position Description:
Cost Engineer is responsible for estimating the costs of projects. The Engineer will provide oversight and analysis to cost management, overhead budgeting and reporting, project baseline setup and support, project audits as assigned, change management, reporting (both internal and external clients), project benchmarking, estimating interface, proposal support, and project management support.

1. Provide cost control service to the projects with responsibility for accurate project cost reporting and analysis
2. Assist Work Control Superintendent
3. Preparation of Weekly/Daily Cost Reports
4. Monitoring and compilation of project invoices and cost accruals.
5. Receiving purchase requisitions and invoices
6. Monitoring and reconciling for Company support to the projects
7. Dealing with project close-outs

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The position requires work in an office setting but will be required to enter the plant area.
Required Education, Experience, Certification and Licenses:
High School Diploma or GED
Microsoft Office experience (especially Excel and Access)
Previous experience in a cost control role.
Good communication skills.
Experience with financial cost management software
Attention to detail and good numerical skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Bachelor Degree (preferred)
Nuclear power experience (preferred)
