    Position Description:

    Allied Power, a service line of Charah Solutions, a publicly traded company (NYSE: CHRA) is seeking an Accounting Manager.  The Accounting Manager is responsible for assisting the Allied Power Finance & Accounting department in developing, analyzing and reconciling accurate and timely financial records for the organization.

     

    Essential Functions:

    Examine accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards defined within the department.
    Perform reconciliation(s) of Balance Sheet accounts.
    Develop and implement proper keeping of financial records, making use of current technologies.
    Perform monthly close functions, including journal entries and schedule preparation.
    Daily assistance with cash management activities.
    Readies and maintains financial and business transactions that requires an understanding of both accounting theory and practice.
    Projects accounting data to show the effects of proposed plans on capital investments and overall financial condition.
    Analyzes financial information detailing assets, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.

    Physical Demands:

    This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

     

    Required Education, Experience, Certification and Licenses:
    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
    Minimum 5-7 years accounting experience, CPA candidate (preferred)
    Extensive knowledge of GAAP, Reconciliations, Financial Statements & Reporting
    Ability to analyze Financial Statements for presentation and discussion with senior management
    Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Powerpoint
