Position Overview:
Responsible for the successful execution of all contract obligations and labor agreements at assigned site. Ensures that all work is performed in a safe and productive manner and in accordance with the quality standards of both the Client and Allied Power.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
• Serves as the principal contact to the Client for day-to-day operational issues and business development opportunities
• Effectively manages relationships with local labor officials and/or key client stakeholders
• Responsible for maintaining internal and external industry knowledge and best practices through continuous learning and development
• Responsible for the overall safety of staff and craft employees at assigned site and for auditing safety performance
• Accountable for implementing, evaluating and making recommendations to improve the site safety plan and the Safety Conscious Work Environment (SCWE) program
• Under minimal supervision, directs, delegates, and executes work through others at site safely, within budget, and in accordance with terms of contract, while identifying and implementing customer processes to ensure project controls and planning
objectives are met
• Responsible for high level planning activities with minimal oversight from Regional
Director of Operations
• Responsible for understanding contract requirements and for executing the contract
to the financial benefit of the company
• Capable of preparing high-degree input for contracts and negotiating revisions,
changes and additions to contractual agreements
• Oversees orientation and development of onsite staff and craft employees, including
employee relations, human performance and productivity, performance management
and employment management
• Build broad-based Client relationship and use information obtained to make
improvements in products and services. Implement betterment principles into daily
work and project completion
• Responsible for resolving day-to-day work-related issues with Client, employees,
subcontractors, and vendors
• Identification of first-time evolutions and significant work activities
• Ensuring critical attributes are added to the work package
• Ensuring enough qualified personnel are available to execute the outage
• Command and control of first-time evolutions
• Direct responsibility for day-to-day operations at an assigned site
• Supervising the production superintendent and work control superintendent
• Ownership of the site HSE Program
• Coordinating direct hire of personnel, and supervising subcontractor and the
Company seconded labor activities
• Oversight of subcontractors on site
• Management of assigned scope of work
• Primary interface with station management staff daily
• Meeting with the Site Vice President monthlyContinuous identification of cost reduction measures
• Identifying opportunities for improvement
• Participating in the development and implementation of solutions to productivity
issues
• Accountability for all site safety and ALARA goals and objectives
• Spending considerable amount of time in the field observing work activities
• Participating in Work Observation Programs
• Identifying barriers to success and aggressively pursuing permanent changes to
increase productivity
• Being proactive in efforts to achieve performance improvement goals
• Working to ensure supervisory administrative burdens are kept as low as reasonably
achievable
• Understanding labor contracts and jurisdictions
• Responsibility for financial reporting through the Business Manager
• Maintaining a current listing of all contractors, subcontractors, and consultants on
site
o List will include after-hours emergency notification, pager, cell phone,
address, and alternate contacts
• Ensuring activities are conducted in accordance with the design documents
• The site manager has the authority to stop work at any time when it is determined that
the work is below quality or when continuation threatens the design integrity or safety
of the structure, or when work practices threaten the safety of the workers
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Microsoft Office experience
• Ten years of experience in the Nuclear Power Industry
• Five years of experience in management

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Related Field

Essential Job Functions (Physical Requirements):
• Power Plant Environment-Work both inside and outside in all temperatures and climate
conditions in accordance with Heat Stress procedures
• Work in confined places, on elevations more than 250 feet, or from platforms at heights of 5
feet or greater
• Climb stairways, ladders, and work from aerial equipment
• Requires wearing personal protective safety equipment
• Work in and around rotating equipment, high voltage electrical equipment, high noise areas
and elevations
• Work in confined spaces, some requiring the use of respirator protective equipment
o Established facial hair in the sealing area of a respirator is not permitted when
wearing respirators
• Substantial footwear must be worn.
• Overtime and non-standard work hours as required
• Daily work expectation requires ability to perform tasks by walking, standing, sitting,
kneeling, crouching, squatting, twisting, pushing, pulling, shoveling and climbing (up to 25
pounds) in position above and below head, and extended from body to complete repairs
• Lift, carry, position and use tools and/or equipment (weighing up to 25 lbs.)
• Ability to twist the body and neck while driving company vehicles or operating company
equipment
• Work with and around hazardous and non-hazardous materials (reference the waste
management guidance manual)
• Overtime and non-standard work hours as required
• Extended periods of sitting
• May require wearing personal protective safety equipment
