OVERVIEW
Allied Power Services is looking for a Task Manager at Braidwood. The Task Manager will work under the Site Manager as single point of contact directly responsible for overseeing the work activities being performed by the Workforce. Ensuring work packages are prepared and ready to support installation activities. Statuses work package progress and maintains communication with work control center. Arranges and ensures all field permits are in place and monitors and provides direction and oversight to craft. Reports to Production Superintendent for status and schedule updates.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Overseeing the work activities being performed by managed contractors or subcontractors
• Ensuring the contractor performs work in accordance with the Company and Client policies, procedures and expectations, and meets Client standards
• Ensuring a valid contract exists and that contractor personnel are qualified to perform the task
• Ensuring that the contractor conducts pre- and post-job briefings making the contractor aware of error and cost reduction techniques
• Responsible for ensuring that each contractor performs work in accordance with contract requirements, nuclear policies, procedures, and expectations
• Assures contractor personnel are properly qualified and trained to perform the task or work scope
• Monitors work in the field to assure work is perfumed in accordance with established schedule and facilitates schedule coordination between sub-contractors and various support trades
• Responsible for the execution and monitoring of the Work Management policies, programs and processes
• Support the peer group process to ensure adoption of best practices into standard processes
• Monitor key performance measures, controls, and procedures to ensure the consistent application of the Work Management process and instill accountability for adherence to the process and completion of planned work
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree
• Project Management, Engineering, or Operations experience
• Experience with scheduling tool such as Project View
• Proficiency with Passport Work Management module and Hyperion Reporting System
• Nuclear experience
• Demonstrated conflict management skills
